Gronkowski To Miss Start Of OTAs, 'Still Considering Whether To Play'

Since the New England Patriots fell short in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles, there has been much uncertainty surrounding All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski's future.

The Patriots restructured Gronkowski's contract before the 2017 season to add a number of incentives, which the tight end reached during that season. With that in mind, Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Gronkowski will not be at the team's offseason program that begins on Monday as he is still weighing his options.

Brady is reportedly in Qatar to do charity work for Best Buddies.

Gronkowski has a base salary of $8 million this year. He is not expected to participate in the voluntary workouts either. But Brady, who is traveling with his family, now isn't believed to be thinking about not playing next season; Gronk definitely is. The Patriots quarterback now is in Qatar with Best Buddies International and is not set to return until Monday night.

The source, however, indicated there has been communication with the Patriots and Gronkowski's camp recently. He was also a force in the playoffs, catching three scores in three games. He is mulling retirement, and is unsure if he'll play in 2018.
