Durant's 32 points send Warriors past LeBron, Cavs 118-108

The Warriors have four, five, six levels beyond what they showed the Cavs in Monday's win.

If James was to leave and join a team like the Houston Rockets, there's little doubt that a Big Three of James Harden, Chris Paul and James would be one to rival the Warriors' (main) triumvirate of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. "Hopefully I'm making him proud still with him looking down on us".

"If I.T. makes some shots, it's a different game", Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue said.

"That's the only thing that's gonna help me, because we don't practice", said Thomas after a 118-108 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. The streak began with a rout in Minneapolis at the hands of the Timberwolves. It's all about how you handle your losses and how you communicate after them.

Thomas, who has played five games this season after recovering from a serious hip injury, said he's still trying to get back into National Basketball Association shape.

If the Cavaliers want to make a splash before the trade deadline, they've got what it takes to do so.

"I feel good, I haven't had any setbacks", Rose said.

The Starters debate what the Cavaliers need to do to get back on track. But you get encouraged when you come out here and work when there ain't nobody watching. Tyreke Evans was one of eight Memphis players to score in double figures, finishing with 15 points with 12 assists.

Some of that can be fixed by effort. They were without Lonzo Ball, who injured his left knee in Saturday's overtime win at Dallas, and Brandon Ingram also didn't play because of a left ankle sprain. The team has not fully clicked on either end of the floor.

It's unknown what impact players might be available within the next few weeks. As the Cleveland Cavaliers struggle to recapture their success from previous seasons, the Celtics now enjoy the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Not that they see things that way.

The Celtics can not be thinking about how good the Cavaliers are going to be when they play them, because they really will not know how good this team will be. Not a bad answer.

The Cavs' window is now, even if it's in conjunction with the Warriors' run.

"We're not playing the best right now", Lue said, "but we will be the best team in the East". They may be old, though, or getting old. In addition, they also have Brooklyn's unprotected first-round pick in this year's draft, acquired in the Kyrie Irving deal.

Hell, ESPN's report even cited "prominent" Cavaliers. DeMarcus Cousins was expected to be on the block this season, but the New Orleans Pelicans are in the playoff picture and won't be moving him. It's David West and Jordan Bell.

James had 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field and 4-for-5 at the line at that point, as well as several sensational plays. James has been in M.V.P. form despite the Cavaliers' struggles. Those floundering role players may step up and provide a lift.

Heck, it's hard to see the Cavs even beating the Warriors twice. Because of the presence of James alone, it may not matter. They did not play well in the first half, stayed steady in the third quarter, and turned it on in the fourth quarter.
