Forecast: Chilly Week Ahead With Some Rain

An upper level low pressure system is overhead tomorrow, with the storm at sea, this will result in mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature again in the lower 40s.

Our Monday forecast has mostly cloudy skies with light rain or snow scattered around.

The high temperature for the day is expected to be in the low 40s, the weather service said. While there could be a few stray showers Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, the overall impact will be low and most of us will not see any rain.

For Tuesday, skies will clear through the afternoon and highs will warm to the upper 60s/ low 70s with southwest winds at 10-20 miles per hour.

Heading into the weekend, a jacket and umbrella might be beneficial as there is a 60 percent chance of rain on Saturday accompanied by a high in the upper 40s and a low in the low 30s. This will cause us to be partly cloudy with highs staying in the mid-70s and winds will be out of the southwest/ northwest at 5-15 miles per hour.

But it is close enough to generate rain and/or snow showers, especially in central and southern New England today. Then clearing. Lows 31-38.

Wednesday night's low will be 37, according to the weather service.

Thursday and Friday look like they will be mostly sunny with highs warming to above normal in the mid/ upper 70s with southwest winds at 5-15 miles per hour. High temperature in the 40s on Saturday, dropping back to the 30s on Sunday.
