Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police tweeted that Kyle Adam Maraghy had been arrested and charged with simple assault in connection with the incident, which was videoed and posted on Instagram late Thursday.

Kyle Adam Maraghy, 26, has been arrested in connection with the assault at Thursday night's game between the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has arrested a man who assaulted another fan during Thursday night's National Football League game between the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Maraghy was wanted after video went viral of him at Bank of America Stadium as Carolina Panthers fans were watching their team take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

The victim, a 62-year-old man who has not been publicly identified, was treated for minor injuries in the stadium, police said. Blood was dripping from the man's face at the end of their exchange. He is being transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail.

The older man was upset that the other fan and the woman he was with were standing throughout the game, according to the person who posted the video. The dude took offense to the couple never sitting down and obstructing his view.

"We have reviewed video tape of the incident and have identified the perpetrator", the Panthers aid in a statement.

"The behavior exhibited by the perpetrator is unacceptable and will not be condoned at Bank of America Stadium", Emory said.
