Bring your SNES Classic Edition into modernity with this wireless controller

Coming off the success of last year's Nintendo Entertainment System Classic, which was also almost impossible to find, the $79.99 Super NES Classic includes 21 vintage games - such as Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, and the never-before-released Star Fox 2.

Gamers rejoice! Like the NES Classic, Nintendo has released digital reproductions of SNES Classic games' manuals online.

The device goes on sale for $80 on Friday, September 29 and Nintendo says they should be easier to get than last year's NES Classic. But how can you get one quickly? While the PlayStation Network has tried to import some of its best titles to the online store, that really only works if you have a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4. It comes preloaded with 21 games, including Star Fox 2, which has never been released previously.

Anyone in the know about Nintendo's doings is not only aware that the SNES Classic Edition is out as of today, but that it is also really hard to obtain. If you're on the fence about taking on the hunt for this mini console, here are a few reasons why it would be worth your time.

Below, we've compiled a selection of SNES Classic reviews from around the internet.

As with the NES Classic launch, Nintendo hasn't been clear when more will be made available. All Targer sales of the SNES Classic are in-store and walk-in early. A quick read through some and you'll be able to glean some lovely extraneous information on the games.

GameStop: In an email earlier this week, a GameStop representative told us that their stores will have "additional consoles for in-store, walk-in purchases".

The SNES Classic controllers that come with the system are pretty short at just 4.5 feet. Once all the preorders are filled, the stores will sell whatever's left to walk-ins. "You had to be right in front of the TV to play it, so this is a lot better".
