Two more Gators cited for marijuana possession

Four-star freshman receiver James Robinson, will miss the game, too, after receiving a citation on a complaint of marijuana possession last week.

McElwain suspended seven other players for the opener in a crop headlined by wide receiver Antonio Callaway. Of the 10, Callaway, Scarlett and backup defensive end Keivonnis Davis were the only ones who would've seen appreciable time against MI. Wells, by contrast, was one of just three scholarship players not known to be suspended or seriously injured to be left off Florida's "unofficial" depth chart for Saturday's game when it was released on Tuesday. Callaway was suspended earlier this month for improper use of student ID's at the student bookstore.

Scarlett, a junior, played in all 13 games for the Gators last season.

Florida Gators running back Jordan Scarlett (25) joined the suspension list. Callaway, a junior and the team's top playmaker, has 89 catches for 1,399 yards and 11 touchdowns in two seasons. Miller was also charged with marijuana possession, but he was already suspended. He was suspended from the team, along with former quarterback Treon Harris, in January 2016 in the wake of a sexual assault claim made against the two. It was a huge bump in playing time following a freshman season in which he toted the rock only nine times.
