Telling Sign Shows Dwyane Wade May Be Headed Back to Miami

After the Butler trade became reality, the Sun-Times reported in June that Wade would weigh his options and seek a buyout from the Bulls. The latest rumor, though, isn't about just any big-name player No, this delicious trail of National Basketball Association offseason breadcrumbs hints at the potential return of Dwyane Wade, the greatest player in Heat history. "The young players on the Bulls really can't stand Dwyane", adding, "it's no secret they have had enough".

The Bulls have publicly remained adamant about keeping Wade for the entire season, pointing to the need for veteran leadership with their young roster.

In one of the more expected moves in what has been an absurd offseason, Dwyane Wade chose to opt in to the final year of his contract with the Chicago Bulls, which is worth $24 million - far more money than he'd get anywhere in free agency.

A buyout makes the most sense for both sides.

A Heat reunion in South Beach is enticing and would tie a nice bow on Wade's Hall-of-Fame career in the place where he played 13 seasons - there's also still a key waiting for Wade under the mat at American Airlines Arena.

As of right now, people close to James are fairly confident that, at some point this year, Dwyane Wade is going to end up on the Cavs.

Friedell says those players didn't appreciate Wade questioning their desire to win when Wade himself was not walking his talk, particularly as he sat out practices. Likewise, Wade shouldn't be expected to give up and cash to facilitate a buyout.

Wade can still help a contender. If and when that happens, the Cavaliers will have competition for Wade's services with the Miami Heat, Wade's former team.

Wade will ultimately have to decide what type of role he wants if he's bought out in Chicago, but Denver, with their history of engagement with Wade, could be a logical landing spot.
