Two lotteries, two chances to win millions of dollars

The Powerball jackpot has not been won since June 10, when a California player won an annuity jackpot of $447.8 million.

A $2 ticket gives you a one in 292.2 million chance at joining the hall of Powerball champions. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). The last one was for $61 million on April 28. The winning ticket from Wednesday night's drawing was sold at Pilot Travel Center on Route 173 in Hampton.

Delawareans - and others across the country - will have a couple of opportunities to win a life-changing amount of money this weekend.

The next Mega Millions drawing will take place tonight, Friday, August 4. Drawings are televised live at 10:59 p.m. on New York Lottery draw stations.

The cash option would pay out $199 million before taxes. The ticket, purchased in New Hyde Park, is worth $1 million and remains unclaimed to date.

Prior to the drawing, the jackpot increased slightly from $286 million to $287 million.
