Melania and Ivanka Trump just caused some controversy in Saudi Arabia

President Trump has called on Arab and Muslim countries to take a stand against Islamic "radicalization" during a speech in Saudi Arabia. According to CNN, the summit was attended by leaders of more than 50 Muslim countries.

While referring to the various terror incidents that took place in the US, Trump said, "Few nations have been spared the violent reach of terrorism". Tillerson referred to the visit as "a moment in time" and suggested that the US would take a more active role in the future in brokering a deal if both sides make serious commitments.

The summit announced partnership among leaders of both sides in countering extremism and terrorism as well as in establishing peace and security in the region and the world.

To the Muslim leaders, Trump said the United States will seek "gradual reforms - not sudden intervention" in areas like human rights.

Saudi Arabia was President Trump's first stop on his first trip overseas.

"This is not a battle between different faiths, different sects, or different civilizations".

"Trump needs to discuss with them the ways to prevent terrorists and their supporters from continuing to fuel the fire in the region and repeating the attacks like September 11", Zarif wrote.

The reason for the diversion was because of exhaustion, aides reportedly said.

"President Trump will also meet with leaders of countries who are hosting huge numbers of refugees from Syria". "Love your shoes. Boy, those shoes". "This arms deal will enable Saudi Arabia to use USA -made weapons in their war crimes against Yemeni civilians in a brutal civil war, and continue perpetuating human rights atrocities at home and overseas", said Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii.

The conciliatory message delivered to Saudi Arabia, a top US ally in the region, was distinct from the antagonism previously used by Trump when speaking against Muslims.

After leaving Saudi Arabia, Trump will arrive in Israel for a May 22 meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a visit to the Western Wall and the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem.

The U.S. President urged Muslim nations to close ranks in putting an end to activities of terrorists in their countries. The official briefed on Sunday's meeting said the package includes building permits for Palestinians in Area C that has largely been off limits to Palestinian development until now.
