Trump lawyers: Documents show no undisclosed Russian income

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has ordered former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to hand over records related to the Russian Federation investigation, according to a statement on the committee's website.

The subpoena cames as a result of Flynn's lawyer Robert Kelner alerting the panel that he would not provide documents in response to their April 28 request.

Michael Flynn was subpoenaed by the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of its investigation into links between Russian Federation and Mr Trump's campaign team.

Comey reportedly made the request when he met with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who wrote the Justice Department memo that White House officials pointed to as justification for Comey's firing - although the memo stopped short of explicitly calling for the director's ouster.

Flynn was sacked by Trump after less than a month on the job after it was revealed he misled Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with Sergey Kislyak, Russia's ambassador to the USA during the transition period before Trump's inauguration.

Flynn's lawyer declined comment to CNN Wednesday evening.

"I've said from the beginning that our intentions are to get information from all the individuals of interest, and I will go to whatever lengths I feel necessary", Burr said in a brief hallway interview at the Capitol, hours before Trump fired Comey Tuesday.
