Call of Duty WWII

In addition to these more general details, Activision and Sledgehammer Games has also provided the first bit of info on a couple of Call of Duty: WWII's campaign missions.

The reveal trailer shows off the eye-poppingly impressive graphics which are all apparently in-game, and we get to see a Saving Private Ryan-esque violent and breathless beach landing, before moving further inland on mainland Europe.

For the majority of the game, players will assume the role of Private Ronald "Red" Daniels, a new recruit in the United States 1st Infantry Division. Activision says an invitation for the game's closed beta later this year will also be given to those who pre-order. Call of Duty: WW2 will be shown off for the first time ever, providing us with a glimpse at story, gameplay, multiplayer and more. There will also be an all-new Nazi Zombies Cooperative mode that features a new storyline.

The story apparently will push across the European theater, from Normandy to the liberation of Paris and then onward into Germany. These include a new mode called War, an assymetrical multiplayer mode where players are split between the Allies and Axis powers.

GameStop is reporting that the game will likely be released on November 3. It is, therefore, likely that the game will have an early November 2017 release. It will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

For now, it appears as though only the base edition is available to pre-order on United Kingdom retail sites like Amazon and GAME. It will be exclusive to PS4. Like the last two games, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, it doesn't seem that it would be exclusive to any single retailer.

Activision didn't have a booth at E3 a year ago, though it did still show up in a big way during the Sony press conference. Jeffrey Pierce, Josh Duhamel and Johnathan Tucker will perform three of the main characters in the 1st infantry unit that Call of Duty WWII will focus on, but other characters from diverse backgrounds and multiple purposes within the war will also be highlighted.

Some Call of Duty WWII marketing material reportedly leaked in Australia on Saturday, revealing some enlightening details regarding the game, including its release date and Beta availability.
