Health Inspectors Cite Trump's Mar-A-Lago For "Potentially Hazardous" Food

-Nonexempt fish offered raw or undercooked has not undergone proper parasite destruction.

President Trump makes it lucky No. 7 today, making his latest trip to Mar-a-Lago.

The inspectors deemed the above-temperature meat and under-processed fish "High Priority violations", defined as "those which could contribute directly to a foodborne illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing".

According to the Miami Herald, Mr Trump was known in the past to have personally checked the Mar-a-Lago kitchens himself, as well as conducting staff inspections.

The restaurant's "reach-in" and "walk-in" coolers were both said to be "not maintained in good fix", with meats being stored at dangerously high temperatures (41°F is the highest that it should be).

There was ham at 57F, beef at 50F, duck at 50F, chicken at 49 degrees.

The chef called technicians to lower the setting, and the technician said the reach-in cooler had been on defrost and corrected the problem. "He's hands-on when it comes to this kind of business, when it comes to Mar-a-Lago", Lambiet said.

Mar-a-Lago was issued a citation for the broken coolers, which the club was ordered to empty and fix.

In 2015 there were just two health and safety violations in the Mar-a-Lago kitchen but that jumped to 11 past year.

State inspectors concluded that Mar-a-Lago's kitchen did meet minimum standards.

"The infractions were corrected on-site, and the establishment was immediately brought into compliance", Lawson said Thursday.

The Trump Organisation, which operates the family's business empire, did not immediately comment.

The Miami Herald noted that the club has seen a rise in violations since Trump entered the political arena.

Trump also hosted Chinese Chinese President Xi Jinping there last week. The president often refers to the property as the Winter White House.

In fact, just days ago, when asked about how the Syrian bombing took place, Trump raved about the "beautiful" chocolate cake served.
