Hillary Would Be On Trial If Not For Comey

"Director Comey was very, very good to Hillary Clinton, that I can tell you".

BARTIROMO: ...scratching their heads why so many Obama-era staffers are still here.

Trump continued by blaming Comey for not recommending that charges be pursued in the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

In an interview with Fox Business Tuesday, the president also suggested he could change his mind on whether FBI Director James Comey remains in his post. He saved her life, because - I call it Comey won.

Speaking to Bartiromo, Trump said Comey "was very, very good" to Clinton, who would be "going to trial" if he was not. People don't realize that. We'll see what happens. "It's going to be interesting".

At this point, it appears as though Comey is safe, but being kept on a short leash.

"I think most journalists are probably leaning more to the left than the right", she said.

As the FBI investigation into Russia's election interference continues, President Donald Trump reminded the bureau's director that he is his boss and ultimately has the final say over his employment.

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo asked Trump why he still has so many Obama holdovers remaining in his administration, specifically pointing to Comey, who is not technically a political appointee.

"When he was reading those charges, she was guilty of every charge, and then he said she was essentially okay", Trump said. "That I can tell you", Trump added. "I want to talk about positive things".

Trump has previously backed away from campaign threats to appoint a special prosecutor to further investigate Clinton's use of a private email server.

Rice, Obama's former national security adviser, has been a target of attacks from conservative lawmakers and media outlets since reports surfaced alleging that she requested the unmasking of US persons in intelligence reports that contained information about Trump transition staffers. Bartiromo pointed out that Rice contends her actions were routine and not politically motivated.
