Raiders try to lure fans to Vegas in email about season tickets

Raider Nation is the greatest fan base in the world and we're going to build something to make them proud.

"If the fans would like us to stay there, we'd love to be there for that and possibly talk to them about extending it for maybe 2019 as well and try to bring a championship back to Oakland".

Raider Nation and East Bay officials are still trying to come to grips with the announcement that the Raiders have the green light to pull up stakes, and season ticket holders got a little salt in their wounds Tuesday.

"I feel bad for the city of Oakland, man", he said.

After the team's move to Las Vegas was officially approved on Monday, Raiders owner Mark Davis said that he'd like to keep the Raiders in Oakland while the team's new stadium in Vegas is being built. "Moving the Raiders? You can move a lot of teams, ain't many fan bases like the Raiders fan base". "If I were the fans I wouldn't attend a game for the next two years but that's just me". The way I see it, the National Football League gave the Raiders permission to move, but as we all know things have a way of changing.

The social media posts by the former University of Washington Huskie shows how the Raiders move to Southern Nevada has far reaching impact beyond just the fans from Northern California.

Ross, who put down $500 million in private funds for a massive remodel in Miami last offseason, voted against the move as a form of protest, believing Raiders owner Mark Davis did not exhaust his private-funding options before turning to Las Vegas for $750 million.

Jim Otto and Tom Flores, the center and quarterback for the first play in franchise history (1960), were both saddened by news that the team can be Las Vegas-bound within the next three years. I wouldn't attend a game. "I wouldn't attend a game". I won't attend a game. I feel like all fans should feel that way.

Oakland's leaders had their opportunity to propose a deal that would be acceptable to Davis, and they blew it.

"Today is a culmination of really an effort that took more than a year on his part after he was shut out of going back to L.A., but really a culmination of a year of effort to find another home and today he found Las Vegas", Gillan said.
