New Trump order on travel and immigration expected Wednesday

Late on Tuesday night, multiple outlets reported that the White House made a decision to hold off on issuing the new executive order after seeing the positive reviews for Trump's impersonation of a competent president.

Three of President Donald Trump's top foreign policy advisers have advocated for Iraq to be removed from the Trump administration's list of banned countries in his new executive order, citing diplomatic reasons, sources told CNN.

Trump's executive order will still include Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen along with a 120 day suspension of admittance of refugees from any country.

The travel ban order, as clumsily implemented as it might have been, given its initial barring of permanent residents ("green card" holders), is supported by the majority of the American people.

They had urged the White House to reconsider Iraq's inclusion given its key role in fighting the Islamic State (IS) militant group.

President Donald Trump won't sign a revised travel ban on Wednesday as had been anticipated, two senior administration officials confirmed.

According to four officials, the decision was taken by the USA administration following pressure from the Pentagon and State Department.

The officials declined to discuss specific details of the new order, and one official said its language was still changing as of Tuesday afternoon, a notion that runs counter to claims last week by White House press secretary Sean Spicer that the order was "finalized" and was "awaiting implementation".

A federal appeals court upheld the stay while the courts settle the legality of the ban.
