Huawei Honor V9: Specs, features and pricing you should know

Sporting the Kirin 960 octa-core chipset along with 6GB of RAM, the Honor V9 is nothing short of flagship caliber. On the camera front, the smartphone offers a dual-camera module at the rear panel, which comes with a combination of 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Honor V9 is also running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, with Huawei's EMUI 5 on top.

The 12MP primary sensor will be joined with another 2MP camera with the possibility of adding more depth in photos and will be powered by a massive battery cell of 3900mAh. It is expected that the Huawei Honor V9 will be sold as the Huawei Honor 8 Pro when it is launched globally at the Mobile World Congress later this month. The Honor V9 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at 2,999 Yuan ($436), while the most expensive variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB costs 3,499 Yuan ($508).

For the 4GB RAM with 32GB storage version it is priced at 1399 yuan (Rs. 13,600 approx.) while the top-end 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs 1599 yuan (US$ 232/ Rs. 15,550 approx.). The device gets 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB. A budget version of Honor 8, the Honor 8 lite packs a 5.2-inch fullHD display, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64 GB of internal storage and a 3,000 mAh non removable battery.

The metal-clad device comes with a dual-camera setup on the back, a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, power and volume keys on the right and capacitive buttons on the front. It has an octa-core Kirin 655 (4x2.1GHz +4x1.7Ghz) 16nm processor with Mali T830-Mp2 GPU stacked along with 3GB/ 4GB RAM. The pricing details too, have not been announced as of now.

The phones are now only available in China starting February 28, but we are expecting announcements for the global version at MWC 2017. It comes with dual-SIM support, as well as Cat.4 LTE for blazing fast download speeds. Moreover, the Honor V9 will go on sale on February 28.

The Honor 8 Lite also runs on a downgraded processor when compared to the Honor 8.
