Honda Civic Type-R Production Model Confirmed For March Reveal In Geneva

Seeing that the Type-R should have 325 horsepower, this puts it ahead of the 305hp Subaru WRX STI and the 292hp Volkswagen Golf R.

The vehicle will be exported across Europe and to other markets around the world, including the first time that any Honda-badged Type R has been officially sold in North America.

As is usual for Honda, we expect the production model won't vary much from the wild Civic Type R prototype that got its USA debut at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas in November.

Honda has announced that the all-new Honda Civic Type-R would be making its world debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The more traditional body shape will also mean a boost in practicality for the Civic. It be laced with Honda's latest 2.0 liter VTEC turbocharged engine.

More details about the vehicle have surfaced online, which includes that it will remain front-wheel drive, sports 20-inch alloy wheels, and have at least 310 horsepower.

The eerie part is with the red being bright, young and energetic - something which we see as a nightmare to have if we are to drive the Civic Type-R on the daily.

Receiving its European show debut in Geneva, the Honda NeuV is a fully electric concept vehicle with a unique ownership proposition and a state-of-the-art "emotion engine" that can learn about its driver.

The third vehicle is the NeuV, which has debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. The electricity it produces can also be sent back to the grid to help the load during peak hours. It also features an "emotion engine" that can read the driver's emotions and apply what it has learned from the driver's past decisions to make new choices and recommendations.

The Geneva Motor Show runs March 9 to March 19, so we'll get a look at the auto in just under a month from now at the earliest.
