Anti-Trump protesters head back to SFO today

Two Syrian families who were also detained early Saturday were sent back to Doha, Qatar, under Trump's sweeping order banning refugees, migrant and green-card holders from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.

On Sunday morning, Sen. Across the country, at airports including Detroit, Louisville, Philadelphia and others, scores of demonstrators swarmed the terminals, demanding that any refugees detained by immigration authorities be released. But it was not clear by midday whether she was still in custody or not.

Sunday's event was organized by San Diego Democrats for Equality and billed as "the resistance follow up" and "Muslim ban protest" and was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., according to an email announcement to members and supporters.
