Meryl Streep celebrates record-breaking Oscar nod

Meryl Streep, the perfectly rated living legend, scored her 20th (yes, that's 2-0) Oscar nomination Tuesday morning for her leading role in Florence Foster Jenkins - and her statement is just as legendary as she is.

Meryl Streep has celebrated getting her latest Oscar nomination in a very unconventional way.

Her last nomination came in 2015 for Into the Woods. In her choice of reaction, Streep proved herself not only an expert at acting but an internet artiste as well, because her gif seemed to sum up her feelings perfectly.

As always, even when she says nothing at all, Streep has the flawless thing to say!

"Please find the following GIF as a statement on behalf of Meryl Streep", a Paramount publicist wrote via e-mail following the nomination announcements, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In the movie, Streep plays an aging socialite with dreams of being a singer, and obviously, she nails it. Streep is seen toward the end of the video happily dancing along to some music, which is a pretty apt.

Meanwhile, the milestone only further solidifies the three-time Academy Award winner's hold on most Oscar nominations. With an Oscar career as incredible as hers, she might as well make history once again by being the very first person to ever accept an award with a gif.
